Actually, I didn’t really follow the original instructions given by Arden’s Garden, but I tweaked it a bit for my health reason. In this post, I will share my experience and the details of my 2-day juice detox. You will also find a Q&A section below!

My Arden Garden Detox Review

The juice detox is recommended for those who want to lose a few pounds and it’s also great to detox your body. It’s safe for your stomach, but it will make you urinate more frequently. I did urinate more often but the juice was gentle to my body. It didn’t make me sick or have stomach cramps. After the first detox, I noticed that my stomach was tighter and less bloated. The 2-day juice detox means you must NOT eat for 2 days full. It wouldn’t a big problem if you are used to intermittent fasting or if you have done the juice detox before. But on the first day of my juice detox, I had a bad headache from not eating anything at all. Or maybe my headache was caused by the thought that I should not eat anything for 2 days. Anyways, I think the headache was just a mental situation. The 2-days juice detox was not easy at all, but finally, I completed it!

My first meal after 2 days was a vegetable puree soup and ate it 2 days in a row. But I think I did not drink enough water during my first detox so I took that into account for the next detox. It was suggested that you should drink a lot of water to help the cleansing process. I also recommend that after you should ease back into eating. My diet after the juice detox mostly consisted of fruit, water, vegetables, whole grains, and protein. After all, what’s the point of detox if you’re adding back toxins to your body, right? And finally, my old jeans fit after the detox. I didn’t know how much I lost weight because I didn’t weigh myself before and after. Now let’s move to the Q &A section!

Arden Garden Detox Q&A

Q: What should I do if I get hungry during detox?

A: I ate fruit and veggies when I got hungry while doing the juice detox. But only fruits and veggies as they add nutrients to your body, nothing else. I recommend having a green smoothie to help you with your hunger without ruining your detox goal. But please note that I only ate the fruits and veggies only when the hunger was unbearable and I had a terrible headache. Although I used to skip meals because of work, the hunger when I did detox felt different. But overall, I recommend you do what is best for you. You don’t want to risk your health or pass out just to lose a few pounds!

Q: How does the Arden Garden detox juice taste?

A: I only drink juice occasionally before, and the detox juice’s taste didn’t bother me. I didn’t even care about the taste when the first time I tried the detox. It tasted like a mix of fruit juice and water. Based on its ingredients: lemon juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, and distilled water, you can imagine how it tastes.

Q: Does it have other benefits besides weight loss? Does it cut out your sugar cravings?

A:  Yes it does. Besides weight loss, I also had my appetite suppressed. I felt more energized and even exercised more than usual. It also did lessen my sugar cravings. I used to eat a lot of candy before, but after the juice detox I could cut out this habit. I suggest that you shouldn’t do the juice detox on or near your menstrual cycle. And for better results, you should stick to a healthy diet right after. The result of my second detox was not as good as the first one because I didn’t do a strict diet after.

Q: Does the detox make you feel hungry? I want to do the detox but I don’t like to feel hungry and have low energy.

A: Yes it does. You feel hungry when you do a 2-day juice detox. I know that you shouldn’t take meals during the detox, but I did take fruit and veggies to help me with the hunger. Having a strict diet like juice or broth and herbs when you do detox will help you ease the process.

Q: How often should we do the juice detox?

A: I do the Arden Garden detox whenever I feel like it but it is best if you could do it once a month. Besides the juice detox, I also do a detox with lemon water or with detox tea. I only did the Arden’s Garden juice detox twice, and the interval between the two is 3 months. But I plan to do the juice detox every month.

Q: Does it taste like real orange juice or Sunny D?

A: Arden’s Garden detox juice tastes like a mix of real juice and water. The taste was okay to me, it didn’t bother me and I’m not even a juice person. But if anyhow you don’t like the taste, you can return it if you buy it from a local grocer. Besides the detox juice, Arden’s Garden also has other juices and probiotic drinks. They have a lot of product and juice pack variants. They even have snack products in their store. You can check their Instagram for further information!
